"I am enjoying learning to express my creativity through painting. With Helen's guidance and wisdom, I am overcoming my inner critic and beginning to express my artistic side more freely and colourfully." says GT, London

Helen Allen, pictured right, is an artist and facilitator of "inner work". She works intuitively with people, both individually and in groups, enabling them to feel safe enough to connect with their own clarity, creativity and personal power.

Inner Work with Guided Visualisation

In guided visualisation sessions, you are taken on an inner visual journey through the imagination and guided by your own intuition.

Images and feelings around key issues in your life are allowed to be present and whatever ‘material’ surfaces, is validated and acknowledged fully as being the necessary information required for this process to unfold. It is scary sometimes to allow it, but with great results after every session, you feel encouraged to be creative with whatever comes up.

This process leads to discoveries of hidden emotions or memories which are presenting themselves, and helps release the past, allowing you the freedom to move forward.

Journeying through Intuitive Painting

In 1993 Helen’s painting career took a major step forward when she studied Intuitive Painting with Jane Cory-Wright, a former student of Cecil Collins. (who was an individualist and like William Blake, favoured symbolic and mystical subjects).

Through producing 28 paintings in 3 days, Helen discovered the voice of her inner child. She made a commitment then to always listen to her inner guidance and felt inspired to one day teach others how to access and listen to their inner guidance. Our intuition is like any other faculty, the more you use it, the more refined and toned it becomes.

Even if you haven’t picked up a paintbrush or a crayon since you were a child, following your intuition with creative expression will allow you to discover your feelings through colour and form. There is no right or wrong or good or bad in this method. You are free to express whatever is there.

Your painting will reveal to you exactly what is going on in your life and allow you to find the clarity to move forward positively.

Even if you are an artist or already on a creative path, doors will open to a world of depth and inspiration which you can then integrate in your daily understandings of yourself and your life.

Gary Upstone, 35, had never been to school. His mum had died when he was born and his grandmother had raised him and home-schooled him. But he was never given the chance to paint.

During a Creative Journey session in London
Gary followed Helen's guided visualisation , supported by Robert Norton's live piano improvisation and produced an exceptionally inspired painting, (featured above) surprising himself more than anyone else. He wrote: "Wonderful safe space to create. Thank you so much. Love Gary"

“Helen’s commitment to healing and her care and knowledge have enabled me to reach the parts that no other therapist could reach!” J.I., London

Mental Colour Therapy (Colour Healing)

Although Helen’s childhood in sunny South Africa was stable and happy, it was nevertheless peppered with sore throats and ear infections, all treated with tender loving care and many courses of antibiotics. “My illnesses seemed to be something which happened to me and that I had no control over.”

C
uriosity into the cause and effect of her health problems later on, led her to alternative ways of treatment. Feeling the urge to know more about healing her own illnesses, Helen studied Mental Color Therapy in 1984, with the late Lily Cornford, (who founded the Maitreya School in 1982). The technique is based largely on the principle of visualising the colours of specific flowers and channelling that energy through the hands to a patient.

"The first step is to recognise and acknowledge the problem that’s presenting itself repeatedly in your life and make a commitment to yourself to move on." says Helen "As a result, I have conquered my repetitive sore throat syndrome (which went on for 30 years), dealt with skin cancer and moved on from having a fear of getting cancer, revived my spine after a year of lying on my back with a bulging disc, resolved many emotional insecurities and even improved my eyesight!

Finding Inner Peace

Through her search for fulfilment, Helen discovered a gateway to inner peace in 1980 when she began to practise Knowledge, as taught by Prem Rawat. This is a way to access the peace that lies within us.

Helen worked part-time as an instructor for Prem Rawat for three years. Her work involved meeting with individuals and groups to facilitate their journey on the path of inner peace. She spoke about her experience in front of audiences in the UK, Holland and South Africa.

“Practising the simple techniques of Knowledge brings me to a place of peace inside myself that I call home” says Helen. She joyfully continues this daily practice, which forms the basis of the deepest gratitude, serenity, clarity and fulfilment.

Background

In 1993 Helen studied intuitive painting with Jane Cory Wright, a former student of English visionary artist, Cecil Collins. He inspired students to connect with their essence and allow themselves to express with integrity, from their deeper self, through form or drawing.

During Helen's intuitve painting course, she connected deeply with her inner child through abstract painting from feelings, which brought a profound transformation to her emotional life and an absolute commitment to live her life intuitively.

Helen's paintings have evolved from one theme to another, usually centered around music, dance and movement. Her series "Art of Movement" published in limited editions, have sold to clients around the world.

H
er longing to connect with her deepest personal truth focused her painting inward and it became centered around the inspiration she gained through guided visualisation and her deep inner work, with Kabbalist Teacher, John Oakley.

For the past 7 years, her' experience of journeying through this deep transformational process known as Inner Work, brought her to a personal discovery of her 'lost musician'. Helen's desire to find her natural voice and rhythm was fulfilled through her discovery of vocal toning, drumming and piano improvisation.

This wonderful healing experience has fuelled her inspiration to join with Robert to facilitate Creative Journeys for others.

Helen has been practising Mental Colour Therapy (Colour Healing) since 1984 and has been committed to a path of inner peace since 1980, following the teachings of Prem Rawat, who has traveled the world for four decades, inspiring people to find peace within.
