about Helen Allen

Born and schooled in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Helen's journey has led her on many rich explorations in her quest for truth. After studying Graphic Design at the Michaelis School of FIne Art, University of Cape Town in the mid-seventies, Helen moved to the UK where she enjoyed a successful career in graphic design. She produced illustration, design and multimedia work for National Geographic, BMW, British Airways, Rank Xerox, Royal Mail and IBM, amongst others.
Following her deep longing to play music, Helen began studying classical piano in 2000, and has since found deep pleasure in the world of improvisation and vocal toning. Combining her passion for music and the healing arts, she co-founded a new platform for personal and creative transformation in 2004, with inspirational musician, Robert Norton, called Creative Journeys, now known as Energising Your Life. During the past 5 years, Helen has facilitated workshops in Russia, Greece, South Africa and the UK.
In 1993, a course in Intuitive Painting with Jane Cory-Wright, opened the door to a profound journey through art. Helen had a strong sense of wanting to share this invaluable process with others.
In 1984, Helen trained in Mental Colour Therapy/Color Healing with Lily Cornford. In the same year, Helen developed her intuitive skills through training with Betty Balcombe, teacher of Psychic Studies and author of As I See It.
In 1980, Helen began her daily practice of 'focusing within', through a practice of techniques called ‘Knowledge’ as taught by Prem Rawat. This practice continues to bring her inner peace, day by day, moment by moment.

Helen just completed her Teacher Certificate for Nia 5 Stages.
